Back To The Future of Family Fun!

Andy Freeman and Paula Appleton with Craig Smith (CRS Editorial)

How we’ll take you back to the future and put the family fun into physical activity

If a genie were to offer us one wish, it would be to return to how things were just over 12 months ago, when we had our highest ever numbers of families attending our sessions and the word coronavirus featured only in the vocabulary of a select few.

With the absence of such fantasy, or indeed a time machine, we as a nation will never forget our collective lived experience this past year but we can now finally look ahead with optimism. Here at Family Fit UK, our resolve to enable your safe return to activity remains as strong as ever. Jump aboard our (socially distanced) bus as we depart the tribulation station and stop off at optimism, encouragement, renewed vigour and fun!

Where we are at

To fully appreciate the end destination, first we should acknowledge our departure point.

Our health and well-being have undoubtedly suffered as a result of three lockdowns.  Increased stress levels, poor mental health, isolation, a loss of confidence and unhealthy snacking regimes are trends we are all keen to reverse. Family life as we knew it had to change dramatically, with significant time spent indoors. Parents have been working from home and wearing that teacher’s hat to add to the juggling act; children have become home-schooled pupils and siblings mixed-age classmates.

But what of the future? What of having fun again? Well, good times lay ahead!

What’s on the horizon?

In short, fun times in the fresh air!

Your enjoyment is what our sessions are all about. When given the green light, we’ll be as visible as the white rose on Yorkshire Day, contacting you to confirm our extensive range of  family activities are once again available.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to experience new adventures and further strengthen our collective community spirit.

Our free-to-access family activities in Ossett, Wrenthorpe and South Kirkby know no bounds…all that is missing now is the main ingredient. You!

Child’s Play – It’s not just for the kids!

After a prolonged period of absence, you and your children may have reservations about returning to our sessions, and that is understandable.

However, please rest assured your safety and that of your children is our number one  priority. All of our activities will of course be conducted in line with government Covid-19 return to play protocol and in the great outdoors.

With a return to school and the reappearance of a degree of normality, you and your children will soon be able to re-tune into our ethos of fitness fun and be ready to spring back into action.

Flying the flag for family fun

With improved weather awaiting our arrival back outdoors, it is time to disconnect with those screens and related worries, and reconnect with your family. After all, our sessions allow you to revert to your childhood too and who doesn’t still love a good run around deep down?

In the words of Nobel Prize winner, George Bernard Shaw: ‘We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.’

Back soon…

When all is said and done, we will soon be able to return to what we love and adults and children alike will undoubtedly demonstrate their sheer brilliance of resilience.

We can’t wait to welcome you back! If you are concerned about anything at all to do with our  sessions and activities, please do get in touch.

Equally, if you want to find out more about the fun in store for your return please checkout our Facebook Page photos, videos and reviews https://www.facebook.com/familyfitukcic or feel free to contact us direct.  We would love to hear from you!
